An Amish Market by Amy Clipston, Kathleen Fuller, Kelly Irvin & Vannetta Chapman - Review

BACK  OF  THE  BOOK  BLURB
Love Birds by Amy Clipston
While Ellie Lapp and her mother are still mourning the loss of her brother, Seth, Ellie starts working at one of the gift shops in town. Seth's friend Lloyd is talented at carving wooden birds, but his father disapproves and expects him to take over the family farm someday. Ellie sees the beauty in Lloyd's creations and insists Lloyd sell the birds in the gift shop where she works. As Ellie and Lloyd spend more time together, they begin to develop feelings for one another, but she accidentally betrays his trust. Will she lose any hope of a future with him?

A Bid for Love by Kathleen Fuller
Every week, Hannah Lynne brings her home-churned butter to the local market. And every week Ezra stops by to purchase some. Hannah Lynne knows not to read too much into it--Ezra is a confirmed bachelor and barely even glances her way, despite any hope to the contrary. But when Ezra bids an exorbitant amount to win the quilt she had her heart set on, Hannah Lynne can't stop her heart from taking over her mind. Could Ezra finally be in the market for love?

Sweeter Than Honey by Kelly Irvin
Shattering a jar of pickled beets wasn't the impression Isabella hoped to make on her first trip to the local Combination Store of Bee County, Texas. But as embarrassed as she was by the accident, she didn't think it warranted the frosty reaction from the handsome manager of the store, Will Glick. As she soon learns, though, Will's heart has been broken one too many times. And now, for some reason, Isabella finds herself determined to be the one to repair that broken heart and renew his faith in love.

Love in Store by Vannetta Chapman
Stella Schrock works at the Old Mill in Nappanee, Indiana, with new employee David Stoltzfus, a recent widower. When strange happenings begin occurring around town, it appears as if someone wants to close the mill. Stella and David have to work together to solve the mystery of what is happening at the Old Amish Mill, and in the process they might just find that God has more in store for their future than they would ever have dreamed possible.

MY  REVIEW
I am a fan of these novella's, several short stories in one book, so I could not resist this one. I was also pleased because three of the stories 'belonged' to three series I am reading. The fourth was a great 'cozy' mystery. I cannot find anything negative to say about this book, it is a WINNER with me! Great stories by great authors and a wonderful job done by all.

At Love's Bidding by Regina Jennings - Review

BACK  OF  THE  BOOK  BLURB
After helping her grandfather at their Boston auction house, Miranda Wimplegate discovers she's accidentally sold a powerful family's prized portrait to an anonymous bidder. Desperate to appease the people who could ruin them forever, they track it to the Missouri Ozarks and make an outlandish offer to buy the local auction house ad all its holdings before the painting can move again.

Upon crossing the country, however, Miranda and her grandfather discover their new auction house doesn't deal in fine antiques, but in livestock. And its frustratingly handsome manager, Wyatt Ballentine, is annoyed to discover his fussy new bosses don't know a thing about the business he's single-handedly kept afloat. Faced with more heads of cattle than they can count--but no mysterious painting--Miranda and Wyatt form an unlikely but charged partnership to try and prevent a bad situation from getting worse.

MY  REVIEW
If you have read any of Regina's books, you won't want to miss this one. I really like her writing style, always a bit of humor along with some slight mystery. The characters are wonderful, some a little quirky, which just adds to the story. I would recommend this as a great book to add to your TBR pile.

MY  REVIEW
WOW and DOUBLE WOW! Misty grabs hold of you with the first line in this book and she doesn't let go!!!!! Grab a-hold and hang on is all I can say. Her writing style is great and I don't see how anyone that enjoys Historical Fiction would be disappointed in this book.

I have had this on my Kindle for quite some time and finally randomly picked it to read. Now I'm mad because I waited so long. So far there are four books in this series with a fifth one due out in April of this year. Yes, I will be getting the rest in this series!

The Amish Ten Commandments (Complete Series Book 1-10) by Rebecca Byler - Review

(Special Christmas Edition)

The Amish Ten Commandments is a fantastic collection of Amish Romance novels which are based on the ten commandments of the bible.

In this collection of stories, Amish men and women battle with their sinful human desires, their lives and their own strengths. They overcome their trespasses, find forgiveness from God and their fellow Amish men and falling in love in unexpected ways.

MY  REVIEW
Yes, I enjoy reading Amish books. No, I have never read any books by Rebecca Byler before. Did I enjoy this set, absolutely! This is a 10 book set of short stories and she uses the same characters in all of the books which gives you a look at how each person changes and deals with different situations, all based on The Ten Commandments. I will be looking for more of Rebecca's books.
