New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Shelley Shepard Gray begins a new series--The Amish of Hart county--with this suspenseful tale of a young Amish woman who is forced to move to a new town to escape a threatening stalker.

After a stalker went too far, Hannah Hilty and her family had no choice but to leave the bustling Amish community where she grew up. Now she's getting a fresh start in Hart County, Kentucky...if only she wasn't too scared to take it. Hannah has become afraid to trust anyone--even Isaac, the friendly Amish man who lives next door. She wonders if she'll ever return to the trusting, easy-going woman she once was.

For Isaac Troyer, the beautiful girl he teasingly called "The Recluse" confuses him like no other. When he learns of her past, he knows he's misjudged her. However, he also understands the importance of being grateful for God's gifts, and wonders if the will ever have anything in common. But as Hannah and Isaac slowly grow closer, the realize that there's always more to someone than meets the eye.

Just as Hannah is finally settling into her new life, and perhaps finding a new love, more secrets are revealed and tragedy strikes. Now Hannah must decide if she should run again or dare to fight for the future she has found in Hart County.

MY  REVIEW
What a great story Shelley has told here, she pulls you in and keeps you on your toes as you continue to read, not wanting to put it down. I am so looking forward to the next one in the series, "His Guilt", due out on July 4th with two more to follow. I am so recommending this book to my friends!

BACK  OF  THE  BOOK  BLURB

SMALL-TOWN SOUTHERN CHEF AMY FLOWERS CAN'T TAKE HER FREEDOM FOR GRANTED WHEN SHE'S SERVED UP AS A MURDER SUSPECT....

It's Independence Day in Winter Garden, Virginia, and the residents are gearing up for their annual celebration. The Down South Cafe is open and flourishing and Amy Flowers is busy making pies and cakes for the holiday. The only thorn in her side is Chamber of Commerce director George Lincoln, who is trying to buy the cafe so he can tear it down and build a bed-and-breakfast on the site.

When George collapses while eating at the Down South Cafe, everybody assumes it's a heart attack--until the autopsy declares it to be poisoning. Now, it's up to Amy to prove her innocence before her liberty is lost.

INCLUDES DELICIOUS SOUTHERN RECIPES!

MY  REVIEW
I have not read the first book in this series, "The Calamity Cafe", yet but I will have to get a copy and do so. This was a good read, I will say that I thought I had the 'murderer' figured out before the end, and for once I was right, lol. Grab a copy for yourself and enjoy! OH, and there is a third book, "Honey-Baked Homicide", coming out in December so keep your eye out for that one too, I am.

Meet the faithful dreamers who helped build the foundation of the new American nation--from four brothers in Colonial Connecticut determined to make something of their lives, to a colony of Quakers in North Carolina resolute in their faith, to settlers in the northwest frontier staking their claim in hostile territory. Watch as nine romances develop and legacies of faith and love are formed.

MY  REVIEW
Love the collections books, some favorite authors and some new authors! Some of the stories go together and some are stand alone stories which makes it more fun. I was touched by one of the stories that deals with Hemophilia, as my grandson has Severe Hemophilia A, before they knew much about the 'bleeding' disorder. Yes, he informed me that it is NOT a disease but a disorder! I can recommend this as a good read.

Plain Sanctuary by Alison Stone - Review

BACK  OF  THE  BOOK  BLURB
Returning to her Amish hometown to open a bed-and-breakfast, Heather Miller thinks she's finally safe from her violent ex-husband---until he escapes from prison. Now with her ex determined to hurt her, she must rely on US Marshal Zachary Walker for safety. For Zach, this mission isn't only his duty--it's personal. The escaped convict killed his sister, and Heather was instrumental inputting the man behind bars. But with Zach's natural protective instincts toward Heather turning into something deeper, he must keep his emotional distance. He can't be distracted, because the danger that lies in wait is as evil as it is unexpected ...and a lapse in judgment could prove deadly.

MY  REVIEW
I was not disappointed in this story by Alison, I have read several of her books and have enjoyed each one. Heather and Zach's story just shows you never now where tragic events can lead, sometimes good results and sometimes bad, which will this be? Grab a copy and enjoy!
