Hope's Highest Mountain by Misty M Beller - Review of the first book in the Hearts of Montana series

BACK  OF  THE  BOOK  BLURB

Ingrid Chastain readily agreed to accompany her father to deliver vaccines to a mining town in the Montana Territory. She never could have anticipated a terrible accident would leave her alone and badly injured in the wilderness. When rescue comes in the form of a mysterious mountain man who tends her injuries, she's hesitant to put her trust in this quiet man who seems to have his own wounds.

Micah Bradley left his work as a doctor after unintentionally bringing home the smallpox disease that killed his wife and daughter. But his self-imposed solitude in the wilds of Montana is broken when he finds Ingrid in desperate need of medical attention, and he's forced to face his regret and call on his doctoring skills once again.

Micah can't help but admire Ingrid's tenacious determination despite the severity of her injuries, until he learn the crate she brought contains smallpox vaccines to help quell a nearby outbreak. With Ingrid dead set on trekking through the mountains to deliver the medicine--with or without his help--he has no choice but to accompany her. As they set off through the treacherous, snow-covered Rocky Mountains against all odds, the journey ahead will change their lives more tan they could have known.

MY  REVIEW
I so enjoy Misty Beller's books, she keeps you wanting more. There are strong characters, life changing events and yet they have the strength to continue on. I would like to think I could be as strong as they are but not so sure.

Dumplings and Dynamite by Shanna Hatfield - Review of the sixth book in the Baker City Brides series

BACK  OF  THE  BOOK  BLURB

That infuriating woman is about to blow his cover!
Or does the danger rest in the fact she's stolen his heart?
Widow Hollin Hughes doesn't care how long it takes or the depths of deception required to discover how her husband really died. She's determined to unearth the truth and unravel the mystery surrounding his death. Then a new dynamite man arrives at the mine and throws all her plans off kilter.

With a smile that makes females of any age swoon, Deputy Seth Harter can charm his way into or out of almost anything. When he's sent undercover to Crescent Creek Mine, even the cranky cook seems entirely immune to his rugged appeal, making him wonder if he's losing his touch. Eager to get to the bottom of a series of unexplained deaths, Seth counts on catching the criminals. He just didn't anticipate a tempestuous woman claiming his heart in the process.

Brimming with humor, tidbits from history, and a sweet, unexpected love, don't miss out on a heartwarming romance packed with adventure.

MY  REVIEW
Yet another very enjoyable book from Shanna Hatfield, She keeps the story moving and makes you want to keep reading to see what is going to happen. This could be read as a stand alone but it is much better to read the books in order, you won't be sorry.

If you've read one of Shanna Hatfield's books, you know you have to read them all.

MY  REVIEW
I had no clue what I was in for when I started reading this book! This author kept me looking for clues as I found myself shaking my head at some of the characters, lol, in this little town. I read this rather quickly as it kept me guessing and I never did figure it out. Oh, and there is one other surprise right at the end, and that isn't what I thought it was either.

Yep, you better grab a copy of this fun cozy mystery.
