Brides of Iowa by Connie Stevens - (see note at the end of this review) a book in the 50 States of Love series

BACK  OF  THE  BOOK  BOOK

Love Prevails on the Prairies

In the heartland of Iowa, three women find healing and hope through the love God brings to their lives

Tessa feels completely abandoned when her abusive father leaves her in Willow Creek, Iowa, with nothing. Maybe she really is worthless---so worthless even God doesn't care about her. But then a kind man named Gideon comes to her rescue. Will God use Gideon to heal Tessa's shattered heart?

Pearl has no hopes for romantic love again. She's getting on in years and assumes she'll remain a widow the rest of her days. But then Hubert comes to town. Just when he's convinced Pearl to dream again, his estranged son arrives. Will the son's anger and scorn undo Hubert's and Pearl's plans?

Tillie knows Everett has healed physically from his disfiguring scars sustained in a fire, but he has a long way to go in healing emotionally. As their friendship grows into something more, does Tillie dare hope for love with Everett? How can she convince him his scars represent something beautiful to her?

MY  REVIEW
What enjoyable stories by Connie. The devastating events pull you in and tug at your heart making it hard to put the book down. I can highly recommend this as a good read if you like Christian Historical books,

NOTE: WHEN I TRIED TO DO MY REVIEW ON AMAZON IT WOULD NOT COME UP USING THIS TITLE, IT CAME UP UNDER "WILLOW CREEK BRIDES" AND EVEN SHOWED A DIFFERENT COVER, THEN WHEN YOU CLICK ON THAT IT GOES TO A PAGE WITH THE TITLE AND COVER I AM SHOWING HERE. THIS IS THE WAY IT WAS AS OF 2-12-2017, THE OTHER SITES I POSTED THE REVIEW ON, CBD.COM, BOOKSAMILLION.COM AND BN.COM IT CAME UP AS 'THIS' TITLE.
